Two more motorsport cars added to the starting grid

Alton Lions Club (CIO) announce the addition of two more motorsport vehicles for Alton Classic Car Show 2023 – a supercharged MGB-GT and Jaguar E-Type replica of a Le Mans racer.

E Type Le Mans

Owned and built by Robin Shaw this Jaguar E type is a replica of the E Type that was raced at le Mans in 1963. This July was the centenary of the first Le Mans race, so Robin and a co-driver drove the car there to celebrate the dual anniversary.

Owned and raced by David Slade the 2-litre supercharged MGBGT can be seen at classic car race meetings. Dave is a local motor engineer who has an impressive collection of classic cars from the 50s and 60s.
