Highlights from Alton Classic Car Show 2023

Alton Lions held another successful Classic Car Show that this year had motor sport as a special theme. The combination of single seat racer, Ninja Carts, oval racing car, classic sports cars, Banger racers and motocross bikes displayed the wide range of motor sports supported locally. The theme vehicles were complimented by over 150 classic cars of all vintages, types and colours. In addition to the vehicles on display visitors were treated to music and dancing from a number of local groups.

The event was held in support of the charity ‘Young Lives vs Cancer’.

“A big ‘thank you’ from Alton Lions Club to all those classic car owners, exhibitors, performers and visitors who helped to make this year’s Alton Classic Car Show a runaway success!”

Moira Baker, President, Alton Lions Club (CIO)

“Please can you pass on my thanks to all the parties involved in making such a wonderful event in the town yesterday. The lions and other volunteers all made me feel welcomed and all expressed their enthusiasm of the work they do. I am still buzzing with the passion and love for the motor vehicles that were on display. It was clearly seen with smiles all round the town that it was a truly successfully event.”
